crucifix

So I was re-reading my post about being really thirsty on Higher Cathedral Rock in Yosemite National Park.

Then I found this rad picture of the Crucifix that you climb under and then to the left of when following the route we did up Higher Cathedral Rock.

That stunning 5.12 crack splitting the white and grey face waits for any climber bold enough to go up there and get after it.

granite park

So I thought that this panoramic shot that Logan stitched together would make a dope banner for the blog.

He snapped this beauty from a ledge just below the peak of Mount Julius Caesar during a late June trip to the Sierra Nevada. Kind of gives you a good notion of the snow conditions.

Apparently there is a 5.10 route up one of the unnamed spires along the ridge in the right middle area of the shot.
